Poppies field

I know, it seems like I took a new toy) but I so like my new camera that I always take it with me and don't lose the chance to make some photos. 
I was going by scooter when I suddenly saw an amazing poppies field. So I stopped, took my camera from the carrier and began to make photos of poppies) I forgot to say that it's one of my most favorite flower. 
When we was going by car in Lecce I saw other one field much bigger but I can't go there by scooter, it's too far. So I need to ask my husband and it's so hard to get him to go there(

Spring flowers

Again my inspirations comes from spring flowers. One of my favourite flowers is poppy. I like it’s red color and delicate leaves. Now all fields around Brindisi are covered with poppies! This photo I made during my trip in countryside a few weeks ago but the fields are still full of poppies!
It’s so beautiful!

So I decided to create earrings-poppies. I have only dark red leather so my poppies are not so brightly as I would like. But they are beautiful, Isn’t it? Black bead in the center is like the stamens of poppy.

Today I present new addition to my leather jewelry and accessories collection. You can find it in special section in my shop.
Crimson poppy flower earrings and Crimson poppy flower brooch are made from dark red recycled genuine leather. Actually I made also necklace but it was immediately sold)

Crimson is a strong, bright, deep red color. It is endlessly multifaceted color. Perfectly go together with gray or light beige.
Few historical facts:
Crimson was always the color of the Church.
to produce the color crimson was used Expensive kermes and later cochineal dye. Cochineal dye was used by the Aztec and Maya peoples of Central and North America and was discovered by the Spanish explorers of South America. The Cochineal insect is a small parasitic sap-loving insect that feeds primarily upon the sap of certain cacti. A great many insects must be processed to produce any useful amount of the highly prized red dye extract. In recent years it has become commercially valuable again. One reason for its popularity is that, unlike many commercial synthetic red dyes, it is not toxic or carcinogenic
