As always in autumn I decided to have a giveaway. 

This very fresh fabric necklace can be yours for free if you will win my giveaway. This is natural silk necklace in bright green shades with splashes of blue, white, dark blue and more. You can tie the necklace close to your neck or a little longer, use it as a belt or bracelet. 

So here's how you enter for a chance to win this:
First you leave a comment telling us what is your favorite creation in Katrinshine shop (you do not have to limit yourself to this, though) and then sign in the form below to provide your name and to state that you have commented (please use the same name).
  
After you indicate that you have left a comment on this blog post,  you will see options for additional entries such as blogging, twitting, sharing at Facebook, etc.

Cristmas gift exchange on Etsy Russian Team

Today I wwant to write about a gift from my secret Santa! We make this game in Etsy Russian team and I always with impatience wait my gift.  My Santa was Natalka from (Skrynka) and (Recomputing). 
I got a amazing calendar with views of gardens which I immediately hang in kitchen. Also there was amazing handembroidered pendant and key fob made from circuite. Maybe she known that I'm computer ingigeer)

Tutorial: Moustache keychain

If you can't choose gift for your dad, son or boyfriend - you can make а beautiful and stylish gift by your hands. Yes, it's possible! Here I write how to make leather mustache keychain.
You can buy this moustache key chain in my shop.

You will need:
a. A piece of genuine leather – thickness 0.03-0.06” (0,7-1,5 mm)
b. A thick needle or awl
c. Scissors
d. Flat nose pliers (2 pairs)
e. A key ring
f. Thread
g. A sewing machine
h. Moustache pattern

1. You can print and use the pattern included or draw your own.

2. Outline the moustache pattern twice оn the back side of the leather. Also outline a rectangle measuring 0.8x2.4” (2x6 cm).

3. Cut them out. It has to look like this.

4. Pass the strip into the ring and bend in half. Join the edges as shown. Position the strip with the ring between the two cut-out moustache pieces as desired.

5. Sew together at a distance of 0.1" (2-3 mm) from the edge. Sew through twice where you put strip with the ring.

6. If one of the edges overhangs, trim it with scissors.

7. The other solution is to attach the chain (not thin one)

Your keychain is ready!

We are happy to announce that the first EPL Magazine for The Autumn - Winter 2010/2011 is officially released! This is the first time an Etsy Street Team organizes such an event and we are really proud to see our groundbreaking idea be coming reality after hard work and dedication.

We would like to thank all of you for participating and embracing this great effort of the EPL Team to promote the Etsy community and the love for handmade in the best possible way.

The Etsy Promo Love Team is proud to present the release of its very first official Magazine, that aims to the the promotion of Etsy as an online marketplace for unique handmade items.

The issue is filled with beautiful creations from talented Etsy artists and enchanced with features such as interesting tips, “how to” techniques, useful links, interviews and much more!

As the basic idea behind the formation of our group is mutual support, we would like to encourage our members to participate by promoting the Team. This can be achieved by being active on our Facebook page, but also through any kind of promotion that could help to spread the word. Therefore, the criteria according to which the second issue of the magazine will be created will be according to those factors.

I'm happy to write that I'm featured in this magazine!! Two articles wrote by me was included too: first Tutorial: cutting and finishing spiral bones and second from Etsy Russian Team blog.
