Double Chain bracelet DIY

You can make a lot of these wonderful bracelets for your summer jewelry collection!
You will need:
Chain, twice the length of your wrist
3-3.5 yards suede rope or atlas cord (as I used here)
1 lobster clasp
adjustable chain
2 jump rings 0.7-0.8mm/0.3 diameter
pliers
crochet hook

Thread the cord through the links connecting both ends of the chain and knot.
Take on end of the cord and pass it through the link of one half of the chain, then through other. Continue till the end. Take second past of the cord and make the same thing on opposite direction. So you will have like zig-zag. Repeat until you reach the end of the chain.
When you pass cord through the last link of the chain make a knot. Using crochet hook pass ends of the cord inside bitween cord and chain as shown.
Cut ends about 2cm from the knot.
Take one jump ring and logster clasp attach them to the one end of the cord. Take other jump ring and adjustable chain and attache them to the second end of the chain.
Your amazing bracelet is ready! You can make a lot using cord of different colors. I made mint, blue and salmon)

Blue white Tablet woven ribbon bracelet

I already wrote here: Katrinshine: My experience in Tablet Weaving about Tablet Weaving or Card Weaving.
Tablet weaving is used from beginning of our age and up to a new time. Vikings and anglo-saxons were made ribbon with interesting and beautiful textures. Ribbon were using for dressing clothes, belts and etc. Tablet is squared with four holes in every angle. Originals tablets were made from bones or wood, but I made from carton. Through every hole runs a thread. Can use wool thread, in this case ribbon will be thicker, and can use silk, linen, cotton and also synthetics thread.
Last week I recieve new supplies and finally I can realize one idea I had for many time. From one of ready ribbon I decided to make bracelets.
This is ribbon:

Bracelet has white and jeans blue colors which make it ideal for jeans outfit.
It's very pleasure to touch, like a silk.

If you like it maybe I will make new ribbon to make a few new bracelets?

Some tips if you want to study tablet weaving you can find here and here.
All you need to get you started is an old pack of cards, preferably plastic coated, some paper scissors, a single hole punch, a metal edged ruler (optional) and a texta, and your weaving yarns. Any yarn is suitable as long as it isn’t fuzzy, but cotton is probably best for colour and smoothness.
And of course, a lot of patience!
Good luck!

New creation after summer

This is my first new creation after summer - Bracelet CINDER. No, in summer I created many necklaces and bracelets, but didn't put it in my shop. Now i begin to show it for you.
This is Summer bracelet CINDER. Wooden beads are covered with shimmery grey organza fabric
. You'd like to have a matching Necklace CINDER.

Bracelet today is one of the most important and popular types of jewelry. Not many people know that the first bracelets have been around since the Stone Age and were made of mammoth tusks. In those days they were not for adornment, but an amulet for protection against disease and evil spirits. Later bracelets were made of metal: copper and bronze, gold and silver. They were not just decoration, but indicator of wealth. They wore bracelets on both hands, and feet. The modern fashion offer many types of bracelets: made from metal, leather, wood, cloth and plastic.
You can find it and many other summer jewelry in my Etsy shop.

Featured seller - Arctida Creations

Today I would like to present you Arctida, Scandinavian artist who create fine artisan gemstone jewelry and Digital Art.

The creative studio of Arctida is situated in the 750 year old city of Stockholm in Sweden. However, the inspiration for Alecia’s (the artist her self) jewelry is taken from much farther north where she was born and grew up, from the polar circle all the way up to the North Pole. The name Arctida refers to the hypothetical polar continent that is believed to exist in the geological past of our planet.

The northern nature with its crisp polar nights and gleaming Northern lights is the main inspiration source for of all of her art. Each individual piece of Alecia’s jewelry is created with the ideas and influences from the world of the lone Scandinavian mountains that astonish with their untouched landscape and wandering flock of wild reindeer, then on to the even more remote, uninhabited world of ice, populated only by the seals and polar bears.

Through this source of inspiration as well as her interest in natural science (she works as a molecular biologist/cancer researcher at her day job) Alecia is able to create unique pieces of art with both inner and outer power and genuine "one of a kind" – design.

You can keep up with Alecia and new happenings in her shops by visiting her blog or following her on Twitter or Facebook.

Mu summer collection of textile jewelry

Here comes another additions to my summer collection of textile jewelry:
Ecco un altra addizione alla mia collezione estiva di bigiotteria textile:

Summer necklace SAHARA. This is textile art necklace in beige shades. I named it SAHARA because it has colour of the sand and shape of the dunes of Sahara. It hand embroidered with pearl seet beads.
Collana estiva SAHARA. E' collana d'arte tessile in tonalita beige. L'ho chiamata SAHARA, perche ha il colore di sabbia e forma delle dune del Sahara. E ricamata con perline di vetro.

Summer short necklace SEA WAVES. I called this fabric so because a patern of the fabric seems waves of the sea with many tones in grey, blue, green, teal. It seems morning and mist, sea waves and olive foliage... This is only beginning of SEA WAVES collection of textile jewelry - in future I'll create many new additions!
Collana corta estiva SEA WAVES.
